Blues music is, in my opinion, America's greatest contribution to the world. All American music, and much of the world's modern music, is influenced by this soulfully rich treasure. Jazz, Funk, Soul, Bluegrass, Gospel, R&B, Country, Rock, Folk, Rap...all have deep roots in the blues. Without the blues, America would not be the culturally rich nation that it is today. The Blues just chugs along like a locomotive traveling from soul to soul and doesn't stop until it's finished its business. My hat goes off to all of those that have contributed to what has become undeniably one of the greatest pain killers of all:
